This past June 10th we did our first ever
5th grade graduation. This ceremony has shown the end our 9am Sunday
school hour until fall and it also showcased our 5th graders who are
now in the youth group. As you saw we actually allowed the kids participate in
many areas of the service. We thought it went fairly well and it gave us a good
blue print for next year graduation. Just to be perfectly clear we will still
behaving kidzone and Junior kidzone all summer long, just our 9am hour will be
on hold until fall.
We are currently working on many other events for
late summer and fall, but have none to report now because our main focus right
now is VBS. We are praying for God’s continued favor on all we do and are
expecting great things to report. We feel we can build off of last year’s
momentum and align our program for continued growth. God has good things in
store for our children program and we are happy to be a part of it.
“Operation
Overboard” Vacation Bible School is from Sunday July 8th-Thursday
July 12th from 6pm-8:30pm. Preparation Meetings will be held at the
church every Thursday between now and then from 5:45pm-7:45pm. This year’s VBS
will be bigger and better than last year.We will have a touch tank for kids
from the Niagara Aquarium as well many other cool things for the kids. Please
pray for good attendance and spiritual awakening in the kids lives.
