ACE Report May 2011

Adult Christian Education Committee Report

February the ACE committee held our annual seminar weekend with Dr. John Nuessle speaking on the topic of missions. This event was widely attended by Trinity members and friends. We expected about 45 people in attendance but we had a total of 37 actually come.

10 copies Dr. Nuessle’s book were available for sale at the event and by Sunday morning all 10 copies were taken. While we did not make an over abundance of money, we did make enough to cover our expenses and make a little extra.

5 Sunday school classes have been meeting on Sundays for adults covering various topics. These classes have been well attended with an average of 31 adults attending each week. All of the classes will be taking a break for the summer with most of them ending their sessions in the end of May.

We are in the process of coming up with a 6 week program to run beginning the Sunday after the 4th of July and running into August. In addition we need 1 or 2 teachers to facilitate such a class. We have a couple of topics in mind but if anyone has a topic idea they would like to submit, or if they know anyone who would like to facilitate a summer program for adults, please let us know.
